Efficient grid automation with SAVE technology

Automation

Automation – substation visualization

Substation visualization for modern substations

SAVE technology enables dynamic substation visualization that graphically displays the surface-mounted and operating equipment of a substation. The states of the operating equipment are recorded via the inputs of the SAVE devices and visualized in real time. Measured values and symbols, such as capacitive measurements, can also be integrated.

Easy-to-read text fields provide a clear overview of the most important measured values, which are directly available at a glance. With the DIGICOM PC software, the graphical representation of the substation as well as the display of measured values can be configured quickly and user-friendly.

Supported platforms:

Communications – operating equipment control

Operating equipment control for maximum control

The SAVE devices enable the control of operating equipment that is connected to the protection and bay controller via outputs. Operation can be carried out via the integrated control panel, the binary inputs or via a control center (network interfaces).

On-site, four navigation buttons in combination with the substation visualization facilitate operation. Two separate function keys (“I” and “O”) enable safe and efficient control of the operating equipment.

A matrix-like authorization table offers flexible access management. Each stage, such as local/remote control, parameterization or service, can be individually protected with passwords. Alternatively, individual stages can be released without a password to increase ease of use.

Automation – Logic functionality

Logic functionality for individual network automation

The integrated logic functionality of the SAVE devices makes it easy to configure new automation functions for substations. The logic makes it possible to flexibly link signals from protective functions, control panels, binary outputs and inputs as well as messages from the control center and virtual operating equipment.

Numerous function blocks such as logic gates, counters, timers and saves are available for linking. These functions can be conveniently adapted via the DIGICOM PC software to meet specific requirements.

The SAVE devices offer a high degree of flexibility for integration into network automation systems, thanks to modern interfaces and up-to-date communication protocols that ensure seamless data exchange.
