KOMBISAVE+: A powerful protection and bay controller for your network

KOMBISAVE+ is a numerical protection and bay controller for use in medium voltage distribution networks or industrial applications. Due to its high function density, which is disconnected into protection and control functions, the device offers considerable economic benefits for operation. The proven and reliable technology from the DIGISAVE family is also integrated in the KOMBISAVE+, with user-friendly menu navigation that often eliminates the need for manuals and expert knowledge.

The device has 15 freely configurable LEDs as well as a large, fully graphic QVGA RGB TFT display with substation visualization, which enables a clear and simple display of the process statuses. This means that operating personnel are always informed about the current and past states. Parameterization is carried out easily directly on the device via the user-friendly membrane keypad. For more complex applications, KOMBISAVE+ can be connected to a PC via USB to work with the DIGICOM software.

The KOMBISAVE+ meets all the requirements of “Swiss made quality” and complies with the stringent IEC 60255 type tests.


KOMBISAVE+ is available in four device versions:

  • RN: Overcurrent and motor protection with bay control
  • RF: Compact protection and control unit as protection and bay controller with extensive protective functionality and integrated soft PLC for automation in the distribution network.
  • RL: Line differential protection and control unit as protection and bay controller with extensive protective functionality and integrated soft PLC for automation in the distribution network.
  • RQ: Transformer differential protection device for primary and secondary measurement, version as compact outgoing circuit protection with bay control and state-of-the-art communications.
