Energy storage

Powerful and durable power capacitors are an autonomous and device-integrated safeguard against external auxiliary voltage. These energy storage units are constantly discharged (every seven days) by the protection relay's power management and monitored for possible deterioration/defects.
- Supply voltage for the device: Grid support for at least 30 s
- Outgoing voltage: 24 V or 48 V DC (2 J) and 300 V (50 J)
Note: The energy storage is available for both nondirectional and directional protection relays. There is therefore no additional transformer power supply for directional devices (RD type).
