Transformer power supply and capacitor energy block
Transformer power supply
is available in: DIGISAVE
The transformer power supply is only present with energy storage units. One of its functions is to recharge the energy storage in the event of missing auxiliary voltage. Recharging takes place over the time during which switching on an energy storage unit by short circuiting it without charging leads to the protection being refused.
The low rated input of the transformer power supply of <1.5 VA/phase makes it possible to connect to conventional and affordable transformers. The device already starts from approx. 0.2 In (50 Hz) of transformer power supply and correctly displays the operating statuses. The operation is limited depending on the protection's supply status (reduced background lighting, dimmed LEDs).
Mechanical engagement indicator (display)
After triggering the protection and missing auxiliary voltage, the protection relay continues running autonomously for a minimum of 30 s. Without a recharged transformer power supply, the display and function switch off. The so-called indicator disk (display) was integrated to display the latest status after protection has been started or protection was turned OFF. These displays working with permanent magnets are managed by the protection and correctly display a protection status after a complete voltage outage. The affiliation (e.g. starting/tripping) can be parameterized freely. A maximum of two displays are possible.
